Main<\/strong><br \/>\n111 Arts Gallery will be having a celebration of art. There will be Mr. Flashmachine tattoo specials from this iconic set starting with set one for the month of March. Stop in, get tattooed, view the museum, and learn the tattoo history of Muncie, Indiana or even the world!<\/p>\n<p class=\"preFade fadeIn\"><strong>Art at the Murray<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>405 S. Walnut\u00a0<\/strong>(upstairs between the Caffeinery &amp; Atty. Frank Brinkman&#8217;s)<br \/>\nGallery Flaneur\u00a0(aka Mark Sawrie) presents: <em>Nothing To See Hear<\/em>. \u00a0New and &#8216;old&#8217; photographs exhibiting wryly somber compositions of banal\/sublime environments (many here in Muncie) will be on display. This month is also our Winter Celebration, celebrating live performances and visual art from our winter semester students. Main<\/strong><br \/>\nGordy Fine Art &amp; Framing Company to present an exhibition of Kevin Campbell\u2019s Puzzle Project,\u00a05-8pm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"preFade fadeIn\">Gordy Fine Art &amp; Framing Company will open <em>Kevin Campbell: The Puzzle Project<\/em>, Thursday March, 5 \u2013 8 pm, featuring groupings of puzzle pieces that the artist cuts from plywood and paints individually.\u00a0 Each grouping has a place in a much larger puzzle that could be assembled if all the pieces were brought together.\u00a0 The Puzzle Project is a work of art with no edges, so it can be added to and grow indefinitely.\u00a0 The exhibit will be anchored by a composite image of what the entire puzzle would look like if fully assembled.\u00a0 Throughout the evening, Campbell will be on hand to engage with viewers and answer questions. Light refreshments will be served, and the public is invited to attend.<\/p>\n<p class=\"preFade fadeIn\">At 6:15 Campbell will speak about the project and how it has evolved since he began in 1994.<\/p>\n<p class=\"preFade fadeIn\">All the puzzle groupings express the interconnectedness of the natural world.\u00a0 Each individual piece is \u201cinherently part of something larger than itself,\u201d says Campbell, speaking about the idea that has driven his art for decades.\u00a0 \u201cAs it grows, pieces and groups of pieces are separated and treated as individual works of art.\u201d\u00a0 These groups will be hung and for sale in the Gordy gallery.\u00a0 Those who own a piece of the Puzzle Project will forever have a place in the larger composition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"preFade fadeIn\">\u201cWorks of art are often referred to as \u2018pieces of art,\u2019\u201d says Gordy owner Carl Schafer.\u00a0 \u201cFor Kevin Campbell, this is literally true.\u00a0 He is making only one work of art that has many pieces.\u00a0Campbell has placed no boundaries on his single work of art.\u00a0 It can continue forever and each piece will always have its place.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"preFade fadeIn\">The exhibit will be on view with works for sale in the gallery through March 28, 2026.<\/p>\n<p class=\"preFade fadeIn\">Gordy Fine Art and Framing Company promotes talented artists, provides appraisals, enlarges and digitally restores photographs restores antique frames, and offers expert design and craftsmanship for framing and displaying treasured family possessions and works of art. Charles St.<\/strong><br \/>\nBall State University\u2019s IDIA Lab, part of the Estopinal College of Architecture and Planning, will showcase videos of recent animation, virtual reality, and interactive projects during Muncie\u2019s First Thursday on February 5, from 5\u20138 p.m., at the ECAP Downtown Space, 306 South Walnut Street. In addition, IDIA Lab will present virtual reality experiences from Echoes of Muncie: An AR Architectural Heritage Tour, first launched during Summer ArtsWalk. Using your mobile device as a window into the past, you can explore immersive 3D reconstructions of several historic downtown landmarks, including the Wysor Block Building, the Wysor Grand Opera House, and the former Delaware County Courthouse\u2014right on their original sites. After graduating from Ball State University and spending more than seventeen years in graphic design, I bring both practiced skill and intuitive listening to each piece.
