Their craft beer list is stacked, so if you\u2019re indecisive (no judgment), grab a flight of their house brews and figure out your favorite. A good cocktail is paramount when you\u2019re settling in for a great meal, and the same can be said for the atmosphere here. There\u2019s even a tucked-away 21+ speakeasy section with jazzy tunes for a shift in the mood. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is the game on? Head to 1925 PubHouse. This downtown Muncie spot is a go-to for game days and casual nights out, just minutes from Ball State\u2019s campus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

TVs line the walls, smashburgers hit the table, and seasonal drinks rotate in and out. You can grab a seat at the bar just to catch the game and a quick bite or settle in for trivia night and stay awhile. The bartenders know their stuff and will steer you in the right direction if you\u2019re stuck between options. Family-friendly, patio included\u2014it checks a lot of boxes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recently opened next to the longtime favorite steakhouse, the Butcher\u2019s Lounge at Lahody\u2019s adds a classy new option to Muncie\u2019s bar scene. You can still order food from the restaurant (and trust us, you\u2019ll want the steak), but the star of the show might just be the bourbon list. Don\u2019t miss the smoked Old Fashioned, a fan favorite that adds a little flair to the classic cocktail. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Locals will tell you the service is what keeps them coming back. \u201cThey never let my drink go empty\u201d isn\u2019t just a compliment, it\u2019s pretty standard here. Come for dinner and stay for a nightcap or just swing in for the bourbon. Don\u2019t be surprised if you end up on a first-name basis with the bartenders. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Blood Orange Blonde and Blueberry Blonde are crowd-pleasers, but if you\u2019re the type who likes to try a little of everything, order a flight. They rotate limited releases so pop in to try something new seasonally. Fair prices and a rewards program for frequent guests don\u2019t hurt either. This pub is one of Muncie\u2019s favorite bars with a unique medieval vibe. The beer selection is extensive (take your time choosing), and Bruce\u2019s Pizza inside makes it easy to stay longer than you planned. It\u2019s perfect for a low-key night out with friends to play card games over a couple of pints. It\u2019s its own kind of wonderful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lounge\u2019s speakeasy-style vibe pairs perfectly with signature martinis like the Seasonal 75 and Caf\u00e9 Agave. They also offer a variety of zero-proof cocktails, so everyone can find a drink they love. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond the cocktails, there\u2019s always something happening\u2014live music, karaoke, comedy nights, even game tournaments. Add charcuterie boards to share, and it\u2019s a strong pick for date night or girls\u2019 night out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The creative burgers are also the star here, and you\u2019ll absolutely want to try one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flight is the move if you\u2019re new. Pair it with one of their unique pizzas or subs, grab a pool cue, and make an afternoon of it. It\u2019s open for lunch, which makes it a great \u201clet\u2019s try somewhere different\u201d spot during the week. On warmer days, the garage opens to a patio outside.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ll find American pub food, plenty of beer and ale options if that\u2019s how you roll, and a crowd that feels genuinely local. It was named \u201cBest Hole in the Wall Restaurant\u201d in Indiana in 2025, in the best way possible. If you\u2019re looking for something unpretentious and familiar, this place is calling your name. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
