Join local historian Karen Vincent for an engaging look at the life and career of Muncie native Emily Kimbrough. Many know she authored several books, including How Dear to My Heart about her early years here. Less widely known is the remarkable scope of her career\u2014she was a magazine editor, hosted her own radio program, wrote magazine articles and television scripts, traveled internationally, and crisscrossed the country as a lecturer. Guests will gain a deeper understanding of her life and influence beyond Muncie\u2014drawing from a large collection of manuscripts, correspondence, photographs, and personal papers donated to the Delaware County Historical Society\u2014while enjoying delicious appetizers.<\/p>\n
